Perfect Picnic Week 2

Welcome to Week 2 of our Perfect Picnic with Scheepjes! 💙

It’s been a fabulous first week to this crochet-along (CAL) and it’s been amazing to see so many beautiful progress photos being shared in the Facebook Groups and over on Instagram… I’ve enjoyed seeing them all so much! 😍

With six official colourways plus many using their own colours, it’s been a feast for the eyes and a true celebration of colour seeing all these beautiful blankets emerge.

Here’s a round-up of just some of the photos shared this week…

I’m currently still in Greece as I write this, visiting one of my sons who works out here for a sailing holiday company. I enjoyed a little picnic after dawn as we sailed out at sunrise one morning…

And here are a few other photos worth sharing for a little picnic inspiration and also some wave inspiration, because this week in our Perfect Picnic we will be crocheting some soothing waves…

After last weeks crochet where we enjoyed a variety of crochet techniques, this week will be more mindful and relaxing as we crochet repeating rows of wave stitches.

Maybe these are waves from the sea rolling onto the beach, perfect for our seaside picnics.

Or are they waves of aurora lights dancing in the sky…

Or perhaps rolling hills from the view on the mountain…

By crocheting into the back loops only on alternating rows, we will be creating some lovely texture.
