Mushroom Walk Scarf Day 4 – Into the woods we go!

Welcome to Day 4 of our mushroom walk through crochet! πŸ₯°πŸ„

Our scarves are really starting to take shape and just look at some of the fabulous progress photos which have been shared over in the Facebook Group or on Instagram!

Aren’t they all brilliant!! And as expected during a crochet-along I can see lots of you helping each other and answering questions… that’s hugely appreciated and certainly adds to the feeling that we’re crocheting along together!

And I’m learning lots about mushrooms too as some of you share your discoveries. I had no idea there was a yellow Fly Agaric…

For those of you who have purchased the printer friendly pattern on Ravelry it has now been updated to include Day 4: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mushroom-walk-scarf

So today we really begin our walk… let’s go! πŸ˜„

Into the woods we venture as we embark on our mushroom walk. The joy of walking amongst the trees and hearing the glorious sound of birds up high. Look up into the trees but remember to look down to discover any mushrooms on the ground…

The autumn colours are appearing and the leaves are being blown off the trees…

And there are plenty of mushrooms to be discovered…

Spot Salty in these next photos taken when she was still with us… a woodland walk was one of her very favourite things!

But mushrooms don’t only appear in the woods and maybe it’s a local park, footpath across a field or your very own garden where mushrooms might be spotted…

Today we return to the technique of Filet Crochet to create a beautiful silhouette of a tree…

Here I was crocheting mine on a Spanish beach back in the summer. If possible I always like to remember where I was when i was crocheting a particular project…. it adds to the feelings woven into all those stitches…

So let’s get started and I hope you enjoy this next instalment… πŸ˜„
