Winter Walk Scarf Day 2 – Blow away the Cobwebs…

Welcome to Day 2 of my Winter Walk Scarf crochet-along. After wrapping up warm yesterday, today we head outside to blow away the cobwebs! πŸ˜„ And Happy Thanksgiving to my friends and followers in the USA, Canada and anyone who is celebrating today! ❀️

What an incredible start to our winter walk it was yesterday with so many of you lovely people crocheting along and making this scarf! And it was wonderful to see lots of fabulous photos being shared – thank you so much! I even managed to put together a couple of round-up grids… yay! πŸ˜€

The first grid is from photos shared over on Instagram and the second grid is from photos shared in the Facebook Group

I do so love embracing the CAL community, and seeing these filet crochet hearts pop up on my social media feeds was simply joyous… 😍

For those of you who have purchased the printer friendly pattern on Ravelry it has now been updated to include Day 2: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/winter-walk-scarf

And for my Dutch speaking followers, Iris from Een Mooi Gebaar has translated the pattern into Nederlands… yay! https://eenmooigebaar.nl

A winter walk can feel exhilarating with the winter wind adding to that feeling, especially by the seaside! Although sometimes I do find myself wishing that it wasn’t quite so windy by the sea…

Here are some photos from over the years when we’ve tried to model some of my crochet but the wind had other ideas blowing away those cobwebs… πŸ˜„

It can be a challenge trying to photograph by the sea in windy conditions!

Sometimes we even need to hold onto our hats to stop them blowing away…

Our stitches today are open and lacy, just like lacy cobwebs, to remind us of blowing away those cobwebs…

Thank you to independent yarn dyer Kirstyn from β€˜Miss Moffatt Yarns’ who provided all the inspiration I needed for this scarf. Oh how beautifully Kirstyn captured those cobwebs…

And here’s some video footage from a windy walk by the sea last week…

So let’s get crocheting… enjoy it today and remember to keep sharing those progress photos! πŸ˜„
