Welcome to Week 4 of the ‘Postcards with Love’ Blanket which I’ve designed for King Cole.
It’s been an exciting week for ‘Coastal Crochet’ as I travelled to Milan at the weekend for the International Yarn Bombing Festival. I’ll be able to send you a ‘Postcard’ from there, with videos and photos, next week… we only arrived home yesterday evening.
But I did manage a quick hello from Milan for you and a pre-prepared ‘postcard’ from North Cornwall. This is a very short and sweet video from me to you…enjoy! 🥰💙
The FREE PATTERN for the blanket is here: https://www.kingcole.com/cal-postcards-with-love/
Also, a little reminder that nominations for the British Knitting and Crochet Awards end this week… www.letsknit.co.uk/awards
I’d be very honoured if any of you feel you might like to nominate me… thank you! 🙏💙

And here’s a round-up of your amazing progress this week. Lots of people are only just starting out which is lovely… 😊
And many of you mastered inset mosaic crochet, trying it for the very first time… yay!
Here’s the round-up from over on Instagram:

This week we have some sunset squares to crochet! Sunset scenes make beautiful postcards…🌅

Back in January when my first sample was finished I managed to capture some sunset photos with my Cottonsoft Blanket, together with Salty, on our local beach. As you can see, it was low tide and the sun set over the sea which it does for us in the winter months.

I can’t quite believe this was nearly 6 months ago!

We also have four more postcards to crochet… these are similar to our first four postcards but a few rows are different to incorporate some flowers by the sea…🌊🌺

I left a couple plain and added a beach hut to a couple too… I’m looking forward to seeing what you all do! 😍💙
So there you go… another week to enjoy! Remember to enjoy it at your own pace.

Happy Crocheting Everyone! 🥰💙💙
Another beautiful postcard with love , I love poppies , thankyou for taking time out to do this
