Woohoo… it’s finally time for our festival to begin…😃 Let’s begin our celebrations… our festival through crochet!💖
The start of a crochet-along is always very exciting and my ‘Festival Fever’ Blanket in collaboration with the team at yarn company King Cole is going to be a colourful, cheerful celebration and a real feast for the eyes! 😍💖
Here’s a video introduction from me…
As we embark on this blanket journey together, sharing the stitches, colours and pattern all at around the same time, no matter where we are around the world, I want to wish all of you a wonderful crochet experience and then a fabulous blanket to cherish at the end…🥰
I do love a crochet-along for bringing people together and sharing our love for crochet and creating… 💖

The pattern and video tutorials for Part 1 are all there for you now, free over on the King Cole website:

I love my Festival Fever Blanket… so much so that it’s come to the other side of the world with me! 🇦🇺
I’m currently in Australia in readiness for the annual convention of the Crochet Guild Australia which starts on the 27th June. If you’re in Australia next weekend, do come along! 😃
I’ve brought my blanket along with me for the convention but it’s also come in very useful too. It’s kept me warm during the cooler winter nights here, especially as we’ve been camping in a motorhome… 🚐

Here are some photos of the blanket I’ve captured since being here in Australia…
The lights of Vivid Sydney decorated the historic Customs House in Circular Quay in a mesmerising and dazzling light show that even showcased crochet!

The Sydney Opera House provided a gorgeous back drop from the roof terrace of the youth hostel we stayed at…

And then of course there are the glorious beaches too…

So let’s take a closer look at Part 1 and the kind of festival you want to enjoy…

Are we celebrating at home or are we out and about? Maybe we’re enjoying a gathering in a festival field with flowers and bell tents – that’s the inspiration for Part 1 of our festival fever.

Wherever the celebrations, they continue after dark with the rising moon and lights shining brightly against the night sky…

Enjoy these first 30 rows of colourful, joyful crochet!
Remember it’s not a race and the pattern will remain available so everyone can enjoy this at their own pace…
Happy Crocheting Everyone… ENJOY IT! 🥰💙
