Seaside Stash Busting Blanket – Week 26

Week 26 and we return to some of our earlier rows in this blanket… we start with the lovely 3 rows which we’ve used throughout our blanket -this is the fourth time we have done these rows although the last time was in Week 13 so it’s about time they returned! And then we end the week with some Granny Stitches.

But first here’s the usual round-up from Instagram

I’m using red and yellow for the start of this week and going for sunrise vibes with these first rows…IMG_8405 (Edited)IMG_6805So at the end of Row 108 you should have joined with a new colour and made 3ch which counts as the first tr (US dc) st of this next row. Remember it’s UK terminology and I did do a YouTube tutorial for these rows if you need a reminder. Here goes…
Row 109 1tr in each ch-sp and in each st to end, DO NOT cut yarn at end of row but do join with a new colour at end of final st, NO turning ch, turn (180 sts)
Row 110 1tr in next st, continue with (1ss in next st, 1tr in next st) and repeat to end, the final st will be a tr, fasten off yarn, DO NOT turn work
Row 111 Go back to beginning of Row 110 and pick up / re-join the yarn used in Row 109, 3ch (counts as first st), continue with 1tr in each st to end, join with a new colour at end of final st but DO NOT make a turning chain, turn (180 sts)

And now we return the Granny Stitches… a reminder to those granny square blankets in beach huts or ice cream by the seaside!

We don’t make a turning chain at the end of Row 111 so we can make a slip stitch at the start of this next row (into the stitch you would normally crochet into) to get the hook into the right position so that we can then get 60 x 3tr groups in this next row… (ss=slip stitch)

Row 112 1ss in next st, 3ch (counts as first st), 2tr in same st, continue with (miss 2 sts, 3tr in next st) and repeat to end missing the final st, join with a new colour at end of row, 3ch, turn (60 x 3tr groups, 180 sts)

Row 113 Miss 2 sts, 3tr in space between each 3tr group to end, miss 2 sts, 2tr in final st, join with a new colour at end of final st, DO NOT make a turning chain, turn (59 x 3tr groups with 1 tr at start of row and 2 tr at end, 180 sts)IMG_6816IMG_6818

Have a fabulous week everyone! 🙂

  1. Reblogged this on Pink Cobwebs and commented:
If you’re not doing this CAL yet, why not?? It’s fabulous! Of course I had to reblog this one because our gorgeous Mollie Topshop got us in on the nine pictures, there she is top right, in full on snuggle mood….:-)

  2. I have just found your wonderful site Eleonora and will be joining the CAL just a few weeks behind…ha! But will catch up I am sure. I have a question in that when I joined to follow the Blog I was directed to join WordPress to enable me to follow. Do I need to definitely join that site to allow me to receive notifications on your blog. Thank you from ‘Down Under’ in Sunny Queensland Australia.

    1. Hello Gayle, Lovely to hear from you! It will be great to have you joining us! No you don’t have to join WordPress to follow the blog- that is one option but there is also a box on my homepage that says ‘follow blog by email’ – if you put your email address in there, you’ll get an email each time I post and that’s all… hope that helps! Good luck… 😊❤️
