Say it with Flowers – Part 2

Hello and welcome to Part 2 of the ‘Say it with Flowers’ blanket which I’ve designed for King Cole… 🌸

What an incredible start it’s been to this crochet-along. Soooo many of you are crocheting along which is absolutely wonderful! Even in the heatwave which we are experiencing in Europe we’ve managed to pick up our hooks… 😃 ☀️

The coast has been a good place to be and I’ve spent a lot of time in the sea this past week to cool down…

I’m actually a little overwhelmed (in a good way) with all the FABULOUS photos which have been shared… I think it’s the most for any CAL I’ve done, which means there are A LOT of blankets being made… as a designer, that means so much, and I’m very grateful…THANK YOU all for crocheting along!

Just look at this round-up of photos from Part 1 which have been shared in the Facebook Groups and over on Instagram… so many beautiful daisies and sunflowers have been created!

It’s like a garden growing… 🌻

Now it’s time for the next part and in Part 2 we are crocheting the large central square of our blankets… it has the gorgeous Gerbera, four bunches of roses and long rows of tulips… 🌸🌹🌷

I do so love a Gerbera… such a beautiful, bold and striking flower! It’s the perfect centre to our blanket…

And I adore tulips too of course…

These are really fun rounds to create the centre of our blankets with lots of different stitches and techniques used…

The pattern and video tutorials for Part 2 are all available for you now, with links over in the King Cole Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/share/

Or direct on the website here: https://www.kingcole.com/say-it-with-flowers-our-summer-2026-crochet-along/

Here are some photos of flowers I’ve taken in the past week. It’s a good time for flowers in June!

I enjoyed a holiday in France with family last week and this poppy field was such a beautiful sight…

My blanket came along too of course, and myself and various family members enjoyed using the blanket during the week although as the week got warmer, there was less need for the blanket!

Enjoy this next part…

And Happy Crocheting Everyone! 😊💙
