Coastal Retreat Blanket…

Hello and a Happy New Year to you all although I can’t quite believe we’re halfway through January already! I hope you are all finding time for some creativity as the new year gets underway … 💙

I’m crochet juggling frantically behind the scenes right now and my hooks are in overdrive… but I like it that way! 😄 It means I will have plenty of wonderful and exciting crochet projects to share with you all in 2026…

Let’s start with a new blanket… this is my ‘Coastal Retreat Blanket’

I’ve based this design on a set stitch multiple so it’s actually very easy to make larger or smaller. It can be a baby blanket/ lap blanket or a much larger cosy blanket to throw over the sofa – the choice is yours!

In other crochet news, I have a garment design coming out in the next issue of Inside Crochet Magazine, so do keep an eye out for that next week.

I also have three different CAL (crochet-along) blankets coming out later in the year… so there’s plenty of opportunities for us all to connect through crochet across the miles… that’s a favourite thing of mine!

I do love sharing my crochet online through social media and connecting with lots of you but I’m conscious that when my hooks are super busy I retreat from social media and it might feel like I’ve disappeared!! 😅

But rest assured, there’s plenty of crochet going on behind the scenes and I can’t wait to share more with you all…💙

Last week I was in London on a day out with family and we stumbled across some daffodils…
