With 8 springtime coastal colours it’s been a joy to design and crochet… 😊
And I’m so happy with the blend of floral inspired squares and crochet stitches, together with the fabulous wave stitches for the seaside…
Beginning with 9 individual squares means the design can be adapted for cushion covers too…
And once the squares are joined, by crocheting around them in rounds, the blanket is easily adjusted to be smaller or even larger.
It’s a quick grower so a blanket that won’t take too long to crochet… something nice for the upcoming Easter weekend maybe?! 😊🌸
Talking of Easter, I’ve been making baskets this week to display and share mini Easter eggs in… I’ll share the free pattern for those tomorrow!

Well, that solves the problem of which pattern to use for the baby blanket – my step grandson and his partner are expecting a baby girl in the Autumn, so I will be a step-great-grandmother (The ‘step’ is vital here! thank you for the lovely inspiration. Off now to buy a copy!
