Exciting announcement- Coastal Crochet is coming to Australia!

It’s time for a VERY EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT! 😃 Something I’ve been bursting to share with you all…💙

I am absolutely delighted and hugely honoured to have been invited to the annual convention of the Crochet Guild Australia in June and I’ll be hosting workshops there throughout the weekend! 😃 ☀️☀️☀️

Yes, I’m coming to Australia to celebrate all things crochet! The convention is on from 27th – 29th June on the Sunshine Coast and all the information is here:

What an incredible opportunity this is and I would absolutely LOVE to see some of you there! 🥰

And it’s not just me… I’m equally excited that Icelandic Crochet Designer Tinna Þórdóttir Þorvaldar of mosaic crochet fame will also be there! I have followed Tinna’s work for many years so getting the chance to meet Tinna in person is simply amazing!

And Australian designers Shelley Husband and Jenny King will be there too – what a fantastic gathering for crochet this is going to be!

Many people in Australia have been hugely supportive of my work over the years and I know that lots of you from the other side of the world have crocheted my designs… so it’s really wonderful and oh so special for me to be coming to Australia and getting the chance to meet lots of you in person! 💙 🇦🇺

When I was contacted by the Crochet Guild Australia and invited to attend the annual convention I couldn’t possibly say no – what an incredible opportunity, especially in the 10th anniversary year of Coastal Crochet!

In fact June 2025 marks the exact 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Coastal Crochet!! 💫🤩

Yes, it was June 2015 when I set up my crochet blog and started sharing my passion for crochet online… and what a crochet filled journey it’s been since!

We’ve enjoyed so many crochet adventures together so to be going on this very special crochet adventure to mark the occasion in June is simply incredible. I’ll share lots on my social media, so for those of you not in Australia or unable to get there, I’ll be taking you along with me virtually! 🥰

Crochet Convention Update: Due to Cyclone Alfred’s recent impact, we’ve decided to delay registration for CGA Members by one week, to 22 March, to ensure everyone has ample opportunity to register. As a result, non-member registrations will also be postponed and open on April 8. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

In the meantime, we’re thrilled to introduce our three amazing feature workshop instructors for our Crochet Convention taking place from 27-29 June 2025 on the beautiful Sunshine Coast:

We have 22 instructors holding 53 workshops over three days, making this convention our biggest, most inspiring and educational experience yet! 💖 Let’s come together to celebrate our passion for crochet and community. 🌈

I’m going to be hosting three workshops across the weekend and have designed three all new workshop projects. Here’s a sneak preview… I’ll be sharing more about the workshop designs once registrations are open… 🥰💙
