Woodland Wonders – Part 6

Here we are at the end of another wonderful crochet-along! 💚

It’s always emotional when a crochet-along comes to an end; for me, the team at King Cole, as well as for many of you! 🥰

We feel happy to be at this moment and know that so many people have loved crocheting along, grateful to have shared this experience together, relief that it’s all gone so well but also a little sadness to know it’s coming to an end… so many emotions all wrapped up in this blanket but ultimately such wonderful memories made!

It’s been an epic wander through the woodlands! 💚😃

All those hours immersed in crochet, all that sharing and caring as we helped each other achieve these stitches (for some it might have been easy, for others making this blanket will have stretched crochet skills)! All the photos shared and conversations enjoyed as we show people what we’re making and for me the hours spent behind the scenes designing this blanket and then hosting together with the team at King Cole… a crochet-along always involves a huge amount of energy and I absolutely love it! 😃

Here’s a little sum-up from me…

I’m immensely grateful to the AMAZING team at King Cole, in particular Morgan, Carl and of course Joanne for the incredible videos! 🥰

Iris from Een Mooi Gebaar for translating the pattern into Dutch and of course to all of YOU for following along, crocheting along and everyone who has taken part!

Thank you all… 💚💚💚🙏

We still have the border to do which is all there for you now on the King Cole website: https://www.kingcole.com/woodland-wonders-a-crochet-along-blanket/

And of course here’s our weekly round up… featuring furry friends, some blankets just setting out, gorgeous colours and also a group of blankets being made in a class at Quliters Quarters in Preston- this is what a crochet- along is all about!! 😃💚

The blankets being made at Quilters Quarters!

It’s simply wonderful to see them all!! 😃💚😍

So our border is a border of beautiful trailing leaves…

A wonderful way to end our woodland wonders blanket…

And then there are some forget-me-not flowers to scatter around the blanket to symbolise all the happy memories from our wander through the woods…

I can’t say thank you enough for all of you for supporting my work… 🥰💚 Without people crocheting-along there isn’t really a crochet-along to host! You all make it so special, so meaningful and so inspiring!! I’m eternally grateful and thankful that I get to share my crochet ideas with you all… 💚🥰

And so a void will be left now this blanket is finished but that void will soon be filled with new designs and crochet projects on the horizon, I promise!

I didn’t get out into the woodlands this week but Morgan, my eldest, enjoyed a holiday in Gran Canaria with friends and sent me these photos…

It looks stunning doesn’t it?! Definitely a woodland wonder I would have enjoyed… 🥰💚

And looking back through photos I took earlier in the year of my blanket sample, I came across this one… a dog came out of nowhere to join me in this photo! 😃

A wander through the woodlands always gives us a few surprises… 😃💚

Thank you again to all of you, and Happy Crocheting Everyone… 🥰💚
