Woodland Wonders – Part 2 (and a vest!) πŸ˜ƒπŸ’š

Hello! πŸ‘‹ And welcome to Part 2 of our wander in the woodlands through crochet! πŸ₯°πŸŒ³

Yes, Part 2 of the β€˜Woodland Wonders’ blanket crochet-along is all there for you on the King Cole website: https://www.kingcole.com/woodland-wonders-a-crochet-along-blanket/

Enjoy it! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’š

But first, do read on for a little more inspiration, plenty of photos, plus there’s more about a new design I have in the latest issue of Inside Crochet…

Let’s begin with a round-up! πŸ˜ƒ I’ve designed and hosted numerous CALs over the years and a weekly round up has become quite the tradition.

Never have we started a CAL and had so many beautiful photos to choose from already – it really is amazing to see and I’m so very touched by the wonderful response to the blanket so far. πŸ₯°

Please do keep sharing your fabulous progress photos… the Facebook Groups and Instagram are buzzing!

This week we begin by wandering further into the woods and we come across a carpet of bluebells…

A vast carpet of bluebells in the woods is a woodland wonder for sure! πŸ’œπŸ’šπŸ’œ

Local to me, here in the south east of England, the bluebells seemed particularly stunning this spring and I managed to get a few brilliant photo opportunities with my blanket…

Also this week we have gorgeous lush green acorns growing on the mighty oak trees and we also look up at pink blossom with a blue sky backdrop…

We come across rows of beautiful tall Conifer trees…

And then there’s the Fly Agaric mushroom… just off the path at the foot of a tree we see these enchanting fairytale mushrooms…

Yes we’re skipping around the seasons in our wander through the woods but because people are crocheting along from all over the world, many of you will be in different seasons right now!

I’ve loved crocheting mushrooms within my designs in the past and my Mushroom Walk Scarf was a joy to crochet last autumn. There were many walks in the woods to gather inspiration for that scarf so there just had to be a fairtale mushroom in this blanket!

In other news, the new issue (169) of Inside Crochet Magazine is out now and I have a vest design in there…

It’s always a highlight and a pleasure to have a new design in the fabulous Inside Crochet magazine…

I used Drops Design Big Merino in a gorgeous forest green colour… πŸ’š

What with my Woodland Wonders and Pura Vida blanket crochet-alongs in progress, it’s been all about the greens so far this year!! πŸ˜ƒπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

Next week in our woodland wander we have my favourite little part! Yes, it will be time for our sleeping fox to make an appearance and I can’t wait to share more of him with you… 🦊

Happy Crocheting Everyone! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š
