Winter Walk Scarf Day 12 – Heading Home for Hot Chocolate…

Wow! It’s Day 12… the final part of my Winter Walk Scarf… welcome! 🥰💙

I hope you’ve enjoyed this crochet-along as much as I have… and that you nearly have a cosy scarf to wear yourself or gift to someone else!

All walks must come to an end… that time to head back home, and our walk too must sadly come to an end. It’s been joyous to share this scarf pattern with so many of you around the world and today we have the perfect end to our winter walks…

With memories made, we’re now ‘heading home for hot chocolate’! 😄

Have you managed to keep up? Is your scarf nearly finished? Or are you still on an earlier day or maybe you haven’t started at all yet? Anything goes… and please rest assured that this pattern will say here on my blog… so whenever you want to crochet your scarf (or even crochet a second one)…. it’s all here waiting for you when you’re ready.

Both my scarves have been finished for a while now and I’ve absolutely loved wearing them for wintry walks this past week…

With little Salty too of course! 💖

And yesterday we went to get our Christmas tree from a local garden centre… yep, I wore my scarf then too… but this time it was the bigger DK version. It’s soooo cosy!

And here’s the result of our Christmas tree shopping… our tree with some crocheted decorations of course! Certainly starting to feel a little festive…

Thank you so much for all your support throughout this crochet along! It’s the community that builds around a crochet pattern that makes a crochet-along so special… it’s more than just making a scarf!

And here are our final round-ups from photos shared either on Instagram or in the Facebook Group. I LOVE them all… and with scarves being finished, it would be amazing to see some photos of you lovely people wearing the scarves you’ve made (we already have a beautiful granddaughter in one of the photos below). Please do keep sharing… 😍

The first grid is from photos shared over on Instagram and the second grid is from photos shared in the Facebook Group

And now for some THANK YOUS…🥰

For all the many wonderful comments so many of you have left across my social media… I read them all – THANK YOU! 🥰💙 All the wonderful photos being shared – THANK YOU! 🥰💙 And of course for everyone simply taking part which means so many beautiful scarves are being made – THANK YOU!

Lots of you have purchased the pattern over on my Ravelry which is a lovely way to support my work – THANK YOU! 🥰💙 And some of you have generously bought me a virtual coffee – THANK YOU! It means a lot to me… 🥰💙

There’s no pressure at all to give anything to me… I’m sure my passion for crochet shines through and I absolutely love sharing my crochet designs with so many people around the world. The scarf pattern will stay available to all here on my blog…

Update February 2022: I had previously posted a link here for donations to the charity Raleigh International as my eldest son Morgan was volunteering with Raleigh to join a 10 week expedition in Costa Rica. THANK YOU to all who donated. Morgan has now flown out and his adventure has started! 🥰💙

Morgan waiting for his hot chocolate with his favourite blanket! 😍

And I know I’ve said it every day but a HUGE thanks must as always go to Kirstyn from ‘Miss Moffatt Yarns’! It was Kirstyn who dyed the yarns so beautifully last year, that I purchased and which led to me creating this scarf. Kirstyn provided all the wonderful prompts to give me all the inspiration I needed for this scarf! Please do give her a follow on social media or purchase some yarns…. they are wonderful! 😍 https://www.instagram.com/missmoffatyarns/

For those of you who have purchased the printer friendly pattern on Ravelry it has now been updated to include Day 12: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/winter-walk-scarf

The full pattern has been uploaded to my Ravelry in one whole PDF document. And it is now available over on my Etsy too… https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1120738220/winter-walk-scarf

And for our final part of the scarf we enjoy some more Filet Crochet to create a mug of something warm waiting for us at the end of our walks… enjoy it! 🥰

And Happy Crocheting…💙

  2. Really enjoying making this scarf, Eleonora. Yes I’m behind as usual haha, (I’m quite slow), but I am learning so much again – as I always do with you – and weaving a story into the scarf is just lovely. Thank you so much x

  3. I just started day 2. I ordered 4ply cotton by accident. Never mind. Thankyou for your lovely patterns and blog. I have 2 blankets ready to be started after the scarf. I just found you. I missed so much xxxxx
