Corfu Shawl…

img_7210Following on from my blog post last week about my crochet adventures on Corfu which you can read about here, I’m very happy to release the pattern for my ‘Corfu Shawl’!

It’s now available over on my Ravelry and Etsy stores…

The triangular shawl is made using the Filet Crochet technique and it was a pleasure to design and make whilst I was on holiday in Corfu… 🙂

I used the most luxurious and gorgeous silk yarn from Spectrum Fibre. Briony is the talented yarn dyer behind the amazing Spectrum Fibres and she lives near me in Brighton. I was very lucky to meet her and see her yarns at an event in our local yarn shop, YAK. Just look at all those yarns…

I treated myself to a 100g skein of silk yarn and it was the perfect yarn to take on holiday with me to Corfu… and being in Corfu provided me with lots of inspiration to create a Filet Crochet shawl…

Here are some more photos of the shawl in progress…

I love how the design gradually appears in Filet Crochet…

I loved crocheting it, and it’s lovely to wear too! 🙂

I wore it to a Hobbycraft Press Show that I was invited to earlier in the month (blog post to follow soon about that fun day!)…

And I love finishing my shawls with a little charm… 🙂

Happy Crocheting Everyone… 😊❤️

  1. It is so beautiful. I don’t have the skills yet but, I am working hard and is one for a later date.

  2. Hi Eleonora, your shawl is beautiful. I am definitely going to make this one and its looks so nice with the charm. Just out of interest what size is the clasp and the charm? 🙂
