It’s Week 5 of the Tropical Shores Blanket crochet-along I’ve designed for @kingcoleltd and this week we’re revisiting the fabulous palm trees along the shore! 😍🌴🥥🏝🌊🌴🥥🏝🌊

It’s Sunday round-up of the #tropicalshoresblanket I designed for @kingcoleltd 🥰😍🌴🏝🌿 As always thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photos! 😍🏝🌴💙 I love seeing all the amazing creativity out there… 😍The first grid is from photos shared here on Instagram, the second grid is from photos shared in the Facebook Group: ‘King Cole Craft Along’ and the third grid is from photos shared in my Facebook group: ‘Coastal Crochet’! 😍 Week 5 is out tomorrow! 🌴☀️🏝🌴☀️🏝

It’s taken longer than originally planned but finally the pattern for my ‘Festival Sun Mandala Blanket’ is here and now available in my Ravelry and Etsy stores! 🥰😃☀️☀️☀️ Based on the yarn bomb I sent to Italy for the Milan ‘Yarn Bombing Festival’ back in June hosted by @yarnbombingtrivento I have now adapted that design so that the pattern includes the original circular mandala but also instructions on how to change this into a square and then a rectangle! 😄 So you can crochet a small circular mandala using a 4 ply yarn or you can crochet a big rectangular blanket using super chunky yarn and a 10mm hook! 🧶 Seen here I used @cygnet_yarns ‘Scrumpalicious’ and it’s super soft and surprisingly light! Have a lovely Sunday! 🥰☀️☀️☀️

Today is my birthday! The weather is terrible out there… it’s so windy it’s crazy!! 💨 But simple pleasures means I’m having a cosy day indoors… 🥰 And this is a Beach Bunting which I designed for the summer edition of French magazine @creative_mag 🥰💙 🇫🇷 I’m so excited to be featured in a French magazine! 🇫🇷🧶 My sister-in-law is French and she asked her family over in France to look out for the magazine in the shops and they then sent me a copy for my birthday which was such a lovely surprise! 🥰💙🇫🇷 It’s a beautiful magazine featuring all kinds of crafts and I’m so happy with my feature… little Salty gets a mention too! 🥰🇫🇷🐾 To any of my followers over in France, do keep an eye out for the wonderful magazine which is out now… 🥰💙🇫🇷🧶☀️☀️

#throwbackthursday to June 2015 when I started sharing my crochet with the wider world, I started my blog and signed up to the International Diploma in Crochet run by Pauline Turner @ptcrochetdesign 🧶 😃 Well, 6 years later I have finally finished Part 2! It’s a distance learning course, with no set deadlines and you work at your own pace so the diploma has had to take a back seat for me on many an occasion… But it’s finally done! 😃 Here’s a selection of samples I’ve had to crochet during the course. It’s great to look back at all the variety and different techniques used. 😍 There is a Part 3 which I’ve just signed up to - this is more about mixed media and widening crochet skills further… I’m very excited! There’s always something new to learn… 🥰🧶🧶
