For those of you who have followed my crochet adventures for a while you’ll know that a BIG part of Coastal Crochet in the early days was sweet little Salty, our gorgeous Miniature Schnauzer!
Salty was often seen posed next to my crochet and she became a little super star…
Salty sadly passed away in 2023 but she’s sweetly remembered and we have the happiest memories of her…
When I was in Australia last June for the Crochet Guild Australia annual convention on the Sunshine Coast, my path crossed with Nicarlia Mina from Crafty Creatures
Nicarlia got in touch afterwards and offered to create a Salty for us in crochet and our beautiful crocheted Schnauzer has now arrived all the way from Australia!
Isn’t she amazing!

Nicarlia is based in Australia and is a self taught crocheter. She started making crochet dogs back in 2022.
Nicarlia makes and designs all her own patterns based on photos of people’s dogs. She is in the process of refining her patterns and launching a website soon.
