Once Upon a Time… New Pattern!

Oooooh it’s been a hot few days here in the UK… I hope you’ve all managed to keep cool in one way or the other! πŸ’™πŸ₯° Coastal living for me has never been more appreciated as a daily sea swim certainly helped to cool me, Salty and the rest of the family down earlier in the week… πŸ’¦πŸŒŠ

Many of you will know that I travelled to Milan back in June for the amazing β€˜International Yarnbombing Festival’. I contributed a piece too, which I absolutely loved creating… my β€˜Once upon a time’ yarn-bomb! πŸ™‚

The festival was truly wonderful. I have more to share about that it in the coming months. In the meantime, I’m so happy that I now have the full pattern for my crocheted picture, that can be used as a baby blanket or fun wallhanging, ready for sharing!

It’s available to purchase over on my Ravelry and Etsy stores, and comes in both UK and US crochet terms… here are the links:

At the festival in Milan, I came across my piece on display, high up the wall of a local pizza restaurant… I was happy about that and it looked great up there!

The pattern has been fully pattern tested by 4 fabulous testers which has been great too – Thank you so much to each of them! I had so many generous offers to test the pattern and I couldn’t choose everyone… so thank you too if you offered! πŸ₯°πŸ’™

It really was a joy to create this piece, with the picture coming together as lots of motifs and appliquΓ©s are added, bit by bit.

You really can be as creative and imaginative as you like, by mixing and matching all the elements within the pattern…

So there you go… a big crocheted picture that makes a gorgeous wall hanging or mini blanket… enjoy!

And Happy Crocheting Everyone… πŸ˜πŸ’™πŸ’™

  1. I am so excited about this pattern! I have a lake in Indiana. My six grandkids visit very often. My mind is exploding about ideas for this! Thank you!
