Yarndale 2022…

Yarndale! πŸ˜ƒπŸ§Ά It’s a weekend festival of creativity held in Skipton, North Yorkshire and a celebration of all things yarn. This year it’s on the weekend of 24th – 25th September and I’m hugely excited to be going. I’ll be delivering two talks as well as workshops. The team at Yarndale are also inviting everyone to crochet or knit a chain link bunting for the festival… there are more details about that below, and it will be lovely for you all to join in! πŸ˜„

Here I am at the festival back in 2018!

My workshops have already sold out… but the talks have bigger capacity so there’s still plenty of availability for booking online over on the Yarndale website…

Yarndale 2019

I’ve previously visited Yarndale in 2018 and 2019 and absolutely loved it. I’m really happy to be visiting again and it will be so lovely to see some of you there!

The team at Yarndale have announced their β€˜Worldwide Creative Project’ for 2022 and are inviting everyone to crochet or knit chain bunting in any colour to be displayed at this year’s festival. The free pattern for 10 links, suitable for crocheters and knitters of all abilities is on their website.

They chose chain bunting as it symbolises the love of knitting, crocheting and all things woolly that links us all and each link represents a Yarndale show from 2013- 2022.
Why don’t you join in and send your 10 links in – all the details and the address for sending is on the Yarndale website above.

I crocheted mine yesterday and will be sending it in the post. When I visit the festival I’ll try and spot it and will of course be taking lots of photos!

Mandalas were a previous community project… these photos were taken back in 2019.

So there you go… a little advance information about Yarndale and their wonderful creative community project. I had fun crocheting this chain bunting!

In other news, the patterns for my daughter’s prom dress and the β€˜Once Upon a Time’ yarnbomb, which I made for the International Yarn Bombing Festival in Milan, are nearly ready. I’m looking forward to sharing more about those very soon…

Happy Crocheting Everyone! πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

You have encouraged so many people to join in crocheting and created a huge community of yarn lovers πŸ§ΆπŸ’— your daughters prom dress should win a design award and be displayed in fashion museum because it is stunning! Huge congratulations for your achievements , sara x
