And one such person is fellow designer Heather from Keep Calm and Crochet On UK. I first met Heather in person at The Crochet Sanctuary in February when she was a day guest and was able to take part in my workshop. This led to Heather asking me if I would take part in a designer interview for her blog which I happily took part in and you can read about here…
Then at the recent November Crochet Sanctuary, Heather was there again and it was lovely to chat and catch up… we have a lot in common, both being crochet designers who also have day jobs.
Heather has gone on to set up another craft venture ‘Dear Ewe’ with a friend of hers – a whole range of exclusive and lovely craft inspired products with worldwide shipping too!
So what did I receive in the package…
First up a mug…
Mugs are special to me… I love drinking both tea and coffee so a mug is something I use a lot! To have a yarn related one is just fabulous and no I didn’t have a yarn related mug before. This mug is also fantastic quality so that coffee feels even more of a treat…
Then there was a project bag….
And that’s the project bag from ‘Dear Ewe’ right there…
Most project bags are quite small. This one is a fabulous size for bigger projects…
It is thick canvas (much more so than my other project bags) and was creased when it first arrived… but these had all disappeared within a couple of days of use… I love it!
I had a stall at a local craft fair earlier today and the project bag came with me so that I had one of my current crochet projects nicely contained and with me to do.
Then there was a set of cards…
Just lovely modern designs which will be great to send to crafty (or even non crafty) friends!
And finally a set of prop cards…
I’ve never used prop cards myself before but they’re a novel idea. These are double sided and printed on great quality card with a special finish so they will last a lifetime. And you could have a lot of fun with these taking photos of your yarn endeavours and a pre-printed caption… Here’s a selection of photos of them in use taken from the Dear Ewe and KCACO Instagram’s…
So there you have it… Dear Ewe sell lovely yarn themed products for the crafty people in your lives or even just to treat yourself. Do have a look as there’s so much more than what I’ve reviewed here including bags, gifts aimed at Crocheter’s and then those aimed at Knitter’s, plus Sewing enthusiasts. And there’s even a gorgeous crochet kit with all you neeed to make this little ‘Ewe Amigurumi’…
With Christmas on the way, it’s always lovely to be able to support small businesses and Dear Ewe is exactly that… Heather has provided me with a discount code ‘ME2EWE‘ which will give you 10% off any orders.
They also have a Facebook page and a Facebook group ‘Crafty Ewe Tribe’ to add to the fun and the sharing… Thanks for reading!
And Happy Crocheting… 🙂
