Seaside Bunting for Simply Crochet…

I have designed and made some coastal inspired bunting for Simply Crochet Magazine and it’s featured in the current issue (Issue 74) which is in the UK shops right now… it’s a perfect summer project!

I had a lot of fun designing this and it’s a project close to my heart… I love Bunting and this one with its bright colours, seaside theme and surface crochet techniques was just a joy to design and make! And it got a little front cover slot… 🙂

Plus a full page spread on the first page of the magazine… 🙂

That is pretty special and of course I had no idea that it would get a full page to itself so when I opened my copy of the magazine I did let out a little gasp!! 🙂

I actually designed this back in October last year… here’s a photo of my original samples that I sent off to the magazine team for consideration. Here they were being blocked and dried on our kitchen radiator!! This photo was taken at the beginning of November 2017 so it’s taken quite a while for me to finally see the design and pattern in print… 🙂 🙂

Its a design I love and I can’t wait to receive the bunting back from the Simply Crochet Team – for some seaside photos and I’m sure I’ll find somewhere to hang it too… 🙂 🙂
