Seaside Stash Busting Blanket – Week 28

IMG_8218

Week 28 and the end of our blanket suddenly seems in sight… if you’ve got this far then that’s amazing and you know you’re now on the home straight and in just 7 weeks time we’ll have a finished blanket!!

We’re off on our summer holidays at the weekend- 3 weeks touring Europe in our campervan which is very exciting for us! Blog posts from our travels will follow afterwards for sure… Our eldest son finished his end of school GCSE exams in June so this is a much needed and long awaited treat. My blanket is certainly coming with us – I’ve steamed ahead a little so I have blog posts scheduled for the next three weeks. That’s super organised of me, don’t you think – I’m quite impressed with myself!! 🙂 🙂

So there will be rows published as normal every Friday but I may not be able to respond to comments or questions which is something I usually always like to do – we’re camping and internet connection may be hit and miss- anyhow, it’s holiday time and although I’ll certainly check in whenever I can, I won’t put any pressure on myself! 🙂 🙂

So onto this weeks rows but first the usual round-up from Instagram

Amazing as always aren’t they… every single blanket is completely unique… I love it! 🙂

This week we return to Basketweave stitch- remember those seagrass baskets or picnic baskets for lunch on the beach! 🙂 But first we need to level off our rows from last week… so at the end of Row 117 you should have joined with a new colour and made 4ch which counts as the first dtr stitch of the next row…

Remember I use UK terminology and dtr= double treble (US treble), htr= half treble (US half double)

Row 118 1tr in next st, continue with (1htr, 1dc, 1htr, 1tr, 1dtr, 1tr) and repeat to end, the final st will be a tr, 3ch, turn

.
Row 119 1tr in each st to end, join with a new colour at end of final st, 2ch, turn (180 sts)

And now for the Basketweave… …remember I did a YouTube tutorial for these rows and they are made up of 4 rows in total.
