Seaside Stash Busting Blanket – Week 25

IMG_6809

Gosh… it’s Week 25 and our blankets are really looking and feeling like blankets! In some parts of the world it may be too hot to be crocheting blankets right now- we’ve had really warm weather here… 🙂 🙂

Here’s the usual round-up from Instagram -as always I’m in awe of all the different colour combinations. Every single blanket being made is unique- isn’t that amazing?! 🙂

So we start this week with one more ‘Long Wave’ and then the Fishing Nets (or hammocks!) are back…

So at the end of Row 104 you should have made 1ch which counts as the first dc (US sc) of this next row… as usual, remember it’s UK crochet terminology… 🙂IMG_6756

Row 105 1htr in next 2 sts, continue with (2tr, 3dtr, 2tr, 2htr, 3dc, 2htr) and repeat to end, the final st will be a htr, 1ch, (counts as first dc of next row- you may want to put a stitch marker in this ch so it is easier to recognise when crocheting back into it after next row), turn

.
Row 106 1dc in each st to end, join with a new colour at end of final st, 3ch (counts as first tr of next row), turnIMG_6755

And now we return to the ‘Offset Filet Net’ stitch – the fishing nets are back – or hammocks if you prefer…

Row 108 1tr in first ch-sp, *1ch, 1tr in next ch-sp, repeat from * to final ch-sp, 1ch, miss 1 st, 1tr in final st joining with a new colour, 3ch, turn

    1. Hi Roz… all the instructions so far are in weekly blog posts here on my blog… just scroll down each week from the menu tab. As I’m designing it as we go and it’s not yet finished, I don’t have the full pattern… good luck! 😊❤️

  2. I am currently in a position where I don’t have any wool stash! I was going to say luckily but as I wanted to make this blanket I feel more unluckily!!!

  3. I am from NZ & I have thoroughly enjoyed making the blanket. Your instructions are so easy to follow as I am now a person to have done any crocheting to date. I am finding doing the blanket so addictive & really pleased with my nearly finished effort. Thanks so much for you time, effort & detailed pattern I really appreciate it. Cheers Julie
