Roses (Crocheted of course!)

I love crocheted flowers and all kinds of crocheted flowers have been on my hooks over the years. Last year I designed and shared the patterns for my Crocheted Bluebells… and Red Hot Poker’s… In the past I have also crocheted flower garlands, brooches and flower decorations as well as leaving crocheted flowers as ‘yarn bombs’!

And now it’s time to crochet roses! Someone asked me about crocheting roses and it got me thinking about them. Of course there are lots of patterns for crocheted roses already out there but me being me I wanted to design my own, so hook in hand, this is what I did!

And here’s my first attempt…

It’s perfect for attaching onto things as it sits quite flat.

But I wanted to design an even more life-like Rose so I made this one which is a little deeper and therefore taller…

and then I added a stem…

And before I knew it I was crocheting more roses…

And then even more!IMG_3349

Until I had crocheted 7 roses in total and they make quite a nice bunch, don’t you think! 🙂

Of course I had to take them down to the beach for a little photo shoot and in these photos you can see little Salty in the background patiently waiting for me as she so often does… 🙂

So there you have them…Crocheted Roses and if you’d like to make some of your own then here’s the pattern…

Enjoy and Happy Crocheting… 🙂 🙂

  1. What a super cute idea Eleonora! I think I will make some of these for the centre of my table, much nicer than cut real flowers I think – these will last much longer! xx

  2. I love your flowers!! I’m an admin on Facebook group CAL Crochet Along. We are working on a flower themed CAL and wondered if you would be willing to share some of your flower patterns with us? Please let us know as soon as you can. They look beautiful!!!

  3. Love the roses and they look great on the beach too. Am enjoying your CAL – don’t know where you find the time for everything. 🌸🌸 xx
