Can you believe it’s December already?! It’s really crept up on me this year… 🙂 I did a lot of crochet during November, some of which doesn’t warrant a blog post on its own, hence this blog post is an opportunity for a little catch-up of what’s been on my hook…
First up was this little piece of driftwood I found on the beach…
It looked so much like the hull of a boat that I couldn’t resist bringing it home and crocheting a little sail…
I was really pleased with how this turned out and it really shows how effective such simple things can be!
I’ve been picking up the crochet poncho which I mentioned in a previous blog post Crochet Round-Up
It’s been a lovely project to dip into every now and then although I was glad when the main body became finished earlier this week- it’s as big as a small blanket and has taken longer than I thought it would!
There are some finishing touches still to do and a few extra design features which I’m going to add. Hopefully it will be ready in time for Christmas!
I have also crocheted a lovely bell decoration from this months ‘Little Box of Crochet’…
and admired my ‘yarn bomb’ many times on the way down to the beach which is still in place after nearly 6 months! 🙂
We’ve had some amazing sunsets during the month of November too…
I received my bag back from ‘Simply Crochet Magazine’…
…and I added some of my crocheted stars to an outfit I wore to an early works Christmas do!
And finally, here’s a project I have just started… something a little different and new for me. Hope to write a blog post about it soon…
There have also been a few projects on my hooks behind the scenes which I can’t yet share… as always my crochet is never too far from me!
What’s been on your hooks or needles or sewing machines over the last few weeks? Or any other creative endeavours?
Happy crafting Everyone!😊😊
That is such a cute boat. I might try that one.
So many lovely projects and intriguing mysteries.
Thank you Sandra… the boat was just a moment of inspiration and made within 20 mins! So simple! 😊😊❤️
How very pleasing that your yarn bomb is still there 6 months on! Bet it brings a smile to your face each time you see it’s survived any removal brigades! 🙂
I know! I never expected it to last this long so yes I do smile each time I walk by!! 😊❤️
What beautiful projects. I’m loving your blog

Thank you Lynda! So glad you like it… it’s a big motivator for me and my crochet, being able to share it on here! 😊❤️x
That boat is amazing! Do you have it hanging on the wall? What did you use as the mast for the sail? I really want to do this!
Yes, it’s hanging on the wall in my kitchen… it’s quite small. I just used a tiny little stick which I found in the garden for the mast. It really is so simple! 😊💙💙💙
Oh the boat is just perfect! How clever!
I’m so glad the yarn bomb is still going strong, it definitely would have been wrecked/removed by now where I am. I wonder if it can last a whole year
Thanks Hannah… yes, imagine if it did last the year!! Never thought that would be possible but 6 months is a lot longer than I ever imagined too!! The little boat is so simple! 😊💚😊
