I am super excited and so pleased that I can finally reveal my ‘Coastal Wall Hanging’ which I designed for the Hobbycraft blog (yay!☺)

Here’s the pattern…

I’ve been bursting to share this with you all! Hobbycraft approached me at the beginning of January and asked if I would design something for their blog and be featured in their ‘Meet the Maker’ section. Of course I was more than happy to oblige! 🙂

So what to design…well I wanted to keep my design simple and make sure it represented ‘Coastal Crochet’, drawing my inspiration as always from the coast and sea. And the result is this Coastal Wall Hanging  – five crocheted coastal shapes designed to hang from a piece of driftwood…

I had to choose a yarn that was available through Hobbycraft and I chose Patons Smoothie DK as it’s a smooth acrylic yarn which has a similar look and feel to cotton, giving the same stitch definition, but without the price tag. It was also available in colours which combined had a coastal feel to them.

Of course each motif could be used in so many other ways too…

I hope you like it as much as I do – I had loads of fun designing this…

Thanks so much for looking and Happy Crocheting… 🙂 🙂
