Stoked to try this! Thank you! 👍
Glad you like it- thanks so much 🙂 🙂
Thank you – I’m going to make some – I think they might fit in well with my Beach Clean Art. 😉
Glad you like it- I’d be grateful for any feedback! 🙂 🙂
Ok, I’ll let you know.
Thank you so much!
You’re welcome! Thank you 🙂 🙂
Super little pattern, Eleonora and your photos are brilliant. 🌸x
Thanks so much Jenny! How are you getting on? Still working through the Diploma? I’ve moved onto Part 2 and although I’ve only submitted a few samples so far, it’s given me the confidence boost I needed to go ahead and write patterns like this one! 🙂 🙂
Yes, I’m still working through the samples: I took a bit of a break in November/December as we were away and I wanted to make some Xmas presents. I have also lapsed a bit as far as my blog is concerned as keeping a record of everything takes the time. Back on track again now though and have booked onto a two-day workshop at Crochet Design in September in the hope that Part 1 will be finished and I can get the certificate. I must say I am looking forward to meeting Pauline and other inspiring crocheters.
You are doing so well with your pattern writing in Part 2 – how are you finding it? Can’t quite decide at the moment whether to commit so much time to the next stage. All the best, Jenny 🌸🌸 x
Hi Jenny, thanks for that. Glad to hear you are back on track. 🙂 I signed up to part 2 in September but have only managed to complete 4 samples. They are more time consuming as you have to write the actual pattern for each sample submitted! But just those first few samples and the feedback I received has given me the confidence boost I needed to just get on and write my own patterns. I went up to Morecambe last August and it was great meeting Pauline. I’m sure you’ll love it in September! I’d love to go again but it is a long way from me so not an easy undertaking. I stayed in a fabulous hotel- the Broadwater Guesthouse in Morecambe 🙂 🙂
Lovely, thanks for sharing. 😊
You’re more than welcome… thank you 🙂 🙂
The pattern is lovely Eleonora. The only thing I changed was to start with a magic circle, but that is just my personal preference, the chain works perfectly well. Hope to do a blog post fairly soon. It is fun having a few little ammonites around, they go well with the seahorses!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that… I’m still torn between magic circles and chain rings- the person who teaches the crochet diploma I’m doing doesn’t like magic circles (Unfortunately I never asked why!) so I’ve been taught to do it this way but you’re right- so many patterns do use a magic circle and of course you get a much tighter finish. 🙂 🙂
I’d be interested to know why your teacher does not like magic circles. I like using them over chained circles as to me they are easier to crochet as you can have as wide a space as needed before pulling it all together; and yes, give a tighter (neater?) finish.
I agree- I’ll investigate her thoughts and get back to you! 🙂
