It’s been a busy few weeks in our household and I’ve also felt a little overwhelmed with all my crochet too- so many ideas, just not enough time! Writing down a crochet ‘to-do-list’ has certainly helped.
So this week I’m giving you all a quick little round-up by photos…
This was one of the views from the clifftops last weekend- such a dramatic sky seeing the rain out at sea…
A dear friend from The Netherlands sent us a parcel full of goodies to celebrate ‘Sinterklass’ and she included this lovely ‘crochet your own nativity scene’ book. Another to add to my to-do-list. I probably won’t get this done in time for this year. One to add for next Christmas!
This morning the sea looked gorgeous (quite different to earlier in the week when we had stormy seas) and here’s my granny square blanket progress. I’m probably about a third of the way through but I will put it on hold for now as I have some Christmas gifts to crochet…
I’ve chosen to make gifts using Hoooked Zpagetti yarn and a 12mm hook so they will crochet up super quick. I can’t show anymore than this at the moment as some of the recipients read this blog!

Also, I finally received feedback for my first three samples for part 2 of the Crochet Diploma…more on that next week 🙂

When I was little, my mum and I knitted a Nativity scene. We made one character per year. It’s still going, 15 years since the last character was finished. The only hiccup being when the puppy ate baby Jesus!
How fabulous! That must be so special.. was baby Jesus fixable?? Our Salty has chewed some things in the past that were beyond repair! 🙂 🙂
No, poor Baby Jesus was very badly damaged and had to be replaced

Thanks Bekki! 🙂 I don’t have far to get to the beach at all so it’s quite easy to take my crochet with me. We’re really lucky and I can ‘nip’ down to the beach in just a couple of minutes.. 🙂

Such a lovely blanket. And great idea with the zpaghetti! I love chunky yarns too! My go to if i have to work something in short notice!

Indeed! I find the same with arm knitting! Gives you sore wrists if you take too long, and you cant just put it down like you would any other kind of knit of crochet!
