Well, that’s it! I have just sent off my final samples for submission for Part 1 of the International Diploma in Crochet. It’s taken me 14 months to get through a total of 35 samples plus 4 full sized projects and I can honestly say it’s opened my eyes to so many amazing crochet techniques and possibilities!
I’m just waiting for feedback on my final two samples. Here are some recent samples I submitted that I haven’t shared with you yet…

Look at a number of yarn shops in a limited geographical area or mail order suppliers. How many cater for crochet workers and to what extent?’
I really enjoyed doing this. I took my daughter with me and we set off one Saturday morning and visited the two yarn shops in central Brighton – Yak and C&H
I so enjoyed looking through all the yarns and what they had available for lovers of crochet. I couldn’t resist coming out of Yak with the most gorgeous yarn from Malabrigo in a beautiful ‘jewel blue’.
I now have a question paper to complete and provided I pass that and my final samples come back ok then it’s complete! Yay!
I’m keen to get onto Part 2 because that’s when the designing and pattern writing comes into play- can’t wait 🙂

Congratulations on completing the course. It’s been a joy seeing you grow in confidence. I love the blue yarn. Years since I went to Brighton. There used to be some wonderful shops in the Lanes.
