As I write this the weather here in South East England has become quite overcast, grey and cool. But earlier on today and over the weekend there was the wonderful feeling of spring in the air. The sun was shining and in a sheltered spot out of the wind it actually felt warm.
I so love this time of year when the promise of warmer lighter days are upon us. That said, I also love the colder darker evenings of winter when you can snuggle up indoors and crochet on the sofa. I am a girl of all seasons and love the transition between them.
I’m still working on my Tunisian Crochet Shawl so instead of showing crochet this week, I thought I would share some photos of spring flowers in our garden…
Beautiful aren’t they? I actually took my crochet out into the garden with a cup of coffee last Friday and it was a blissful moment…
Happy Crocheting Everyone 🙂
Thank you for sharing those beautiful spring flowers! 🙂
You’re welcome! Thank you for visiting 🙂
It really has been lovely! I had a picnic on the beach yesterday with Abi in the shade of a breakwater, a bit colder today but definitely that spring feeling 🙂 I love your flowers. x
Thanks Sharon- yes these flowers have to be enjoyed while they’re out in bloom! 🙂
Love the flowers. Narcissen, blauwe druifjes and hyacinten… If there’s anything I miss from netherlands, it’s the flowers (and beach as well). Thanks for the post..
You’re welcome Natascha. In English they are Daffodils, Grape Hyacinths and Hyacinths! There must be beautiful flowers in India too? 🙂
Not like these.. Too dry and hot here..
lovely photo’s…spring is most certainly springing!
Thanks Nicola 🙂
Oh, I am envious – I haven’t had the chance yet to crochet outside this year!
Feeling so much colder today- it was a lucky moment 🙂
I’ve been sitting in the treehouse with the Small Girl doing a bit of crochet. It feels so indulgent! Small pleasures are usually the best!
Absolutely! Sounds delightful 🙂
So good to feel the sun again. Love your Spring flowers.
Thank you 🙂
I’m with you on all seasons…i do so love spring though! The newness of it all! Thank you for sharing!
