Latest submission and result…

I’ve only managed to complete one sample for submission for the International Diploma in Crochet over the last month and this is it…

The requirement was for ‘a strip of crochet approximately 7.5 cm / 3 inches at the base and commencing with the shortest stitch work four rows of each basic stitch finishing with four rows of quadruple treble’.

I was nearly caught out as of course the shortest possible stitch is slip stitch but I didn’t think of this initially and started with double crochet (US single crochet). Luckily I realised in time!

This sample has been submitted and I received the results this week which were that it has passed and the comments were very positive. The comments were that the ‘sample indicates how difficult it is to keep an even tension when working  the very long trebles- well done!’

And of course the sample clearly demonstrates how different in width, as well as of course height, the various crochet stitches are.

More learning for me for sure!

Happy crocheting Everyone! 🙂
