Popcorn Stitch Wrist Warmers…

Since discovering the fabulous popcorn crochet stitch a few weeks ago, I decided to  make some wrist warmers and incorporate the stitch into them.

And here they are modelled by my daughter earlier today…

I didn’t use a pattern and kept the design very simple meaning it was a quick and easy make! I used Rowan Tweed Aran yarn that I had a couple of spare balls of and a 5mm hook.

I started with rows of raised treble rib and then finished with rows of popcorn stitch.  No increasing or decreasing as the raised treble rib gives the stretch and shaping they need. When sewing up the sides I simply left a hole for the thumb.

I’m really pleased with how they turned out…

Happy Crocheting Everyone!
